Rules & Regulations

  1. Apps submitted must be original works. All submissions must not have been publicised or awarded by any other organisations, or be plagiarised from any sources.
  2. In case of copyright infringement, the submissions will be disqualified; as for winning apps, qualification will be cancelled and the prize must be returned to SCCL. In case the copyright infringement has not been found out in time and the winning app is published, the creators shall pay SCCL any damages, monetary or otherwise, which may be incurred.
  3. All participants will own the Intellectual Property rights of their respective submitted projects. All participants hereby grant an irrevocable, perpetual, exclusive, royalty free, worldwide license (“IPR License”) SCCL, to use, sub-license, discuss, distribute, publicise, market and/or create derivative works with, (i) the intellectual property comprised in any and all submissions and/or (ii) any content derived from or relating to the submissions.
  4. SCCL will not be responsible for any loss or damage of the entries due to whatever reasons.
  5. The prizes as stated, are not transferable to another individual or team and no cash or other alternatives will be offered
  6. If a winner of any prize cannot be contacted within one month after the release of results, the prize will be forfeited.
  7. All participants and their parents/guardians are deemed to have agreed to and shall abide by the competition rules and regulations by submitting their work or submitting the consent forms.
  8. All apps content shall conform to Singapore’s laws and regulations, abide by social morality and good orders, not alluding to attacking others or disparaging the reputation of others. Regardless of the form of damage (belonging to tort or otherwise) caused directly, indirectly or incidentally by story content, the authors must take the full responsibility and shall pay SCCL any damages, monetary or otherwise, which may be incurred in this relation.
  9. SCCL reserves the right of final interpretation of the stated terms and conditions and reserves the right to disqualify any violators.
